Volunteers will enjoy a behind-the-scenes experience at this incredible fundraiser. After Party Volunteers (8:30 PM – 12:00 AM) Duties Include: attending the after party and mingling with guests, assisting with final breakdown, removing centerpieces and loading U-Haul. Note: Volunteers may attend the after party once their shift is complete. It is a cash bar and volunteers are not permitted to consume alcohol while on duty. Volunteer Expectations: Arrive on time and ready to help, wear business casual or themed attire, remain professional and courteous to guests, no alcohol consumption while on duty. As a Befriender, you’ll be matched with an individual we support based on shared interests and location, fostering a friendship over at least six months. Befrienders connect with their match at least twice a month—once in person and once through a call, email, or letter. Activities are flexible and decided together. Research shows befriending improves mental health, social skills, and communication for both participants. Volunteers must complete an orientation, background check, and required trainings. A matchmaking survey is also part of the onboarding process.
